Use of Customer Energy Consumption Data
Customer energy consumption data shall remain confidential and only made available to the owner/originator of the energy data and those users that the owner clearly specifies (via the Smart Meter Program API). The owner may delete their energy consumption data at any time. GAAO may use customer energy consumption data anonymously (no user identifying information) as part of the Smart Meter Program API. An example where customer energy consumption data could be used anonymously is for the aggregation of many users’ data to establish average usage for regions such as states/provinces.
